1. What is Fantasy College Football?
This is your chance to be the head coach of your own college football team. You will draft your own team and then decide who sits and who plays. The statistics for each of your players in real life will go towards your team and determine whether you win or lose. Compete in an online community against other owners and see if you have what it takes to win the National Championship.

2. Creating Your Team
You will have two options when creating a team. You can create either a free team or pay team. Every owner can create 1 free team and an unlimited number of pay teams. There are no prizes for free teams. Pay teams will be eligible for division prizes, playoff prizes, and overall prizes. The table below breaks down the differences between free and pay teams.

  Free Pay
 List Draft X X
 Live Draft X X
 Regular Season X X
 Playoffs X X
 National Championship X X
 Prizes   X

3. Creating/Joining A League
After creating your team you will need to either create a league that others can join or join an existing league. Each league will have several configurable options to consider which are listed below.

League Name - The name that the league will go by.
Draft Type - The draft type can be either list or live. More on drafts can be found below.
Access - This can be public or private. Anyone can join a public league while private leagues require a password.
Draft Date - The date and time that your league's draft will take place.
Conference - This can be either ALL, BCS, or an individual conference. This will determine what players will be available in the league's player pool. ALL will draw from all available players, BCS will draw from only teams in BCS conferences, and an individaul conference will draw only from a certain conference.
Teams - This is the number of owners that will be participating in your league. This number is dependant on the conference option selected above. A breakdown of what is available can be found below.
Divisions - This is the number of divisions your league will be divided into. Leagues with 7 or less participants will have 1 division and leagues with 8 or more participants will have 2 divisions. The division will be randomly assigned just prior to drafting.
Division Name(s) - This is the name of the division or divisions.

4. Available Conferences
The following conference options will be available for each league. The number of teams each conference will support is also listed.

 Conference Teams
 All Conferences & Teams 20
 BCS (ACC,Big East,Big Ten,Big 12,Pac 10,SEC,ND) 20
 ACC 8
 Big East 4
 Big Ten 10
 Big 12 8
 CUSA 8
 MAC 8
 MWC 6
 Pac 10 6
 SEC 8
 Sun Belt 4
 WAC 6

5. Drafting Your Team
Two hours before a live draft is to begin your league will become locked. No one will be able to leave or join your league. If your league is not full the system will attempt to combine leagues with the same configuration and draft time as yours. If a league is not full the system will have the option to reduce the number of teams in the league to run the draft. If leagues are combined the league that was more full will become the new name of the league. If they had the same number of players the league that was created first will become the new name of the league. If the league does not fill and can not be combined with another the draft will be rescheduled. Live drafts will be changed to list drafts and rescheduled for the next day for drafting. List drafts will be rescheduled for the next day. Leagues will not be combined unless all league members can remain together. If it is the last day for drafting all leagues will be guaranteed to draft as list drafts. Filler teams can be added to help fill out leagues as needed(see below).

The draft order for your league will be determined randomly just prior to the start of the draft. Your draft position will be reversed each round. So, if you draft first in the first round you would draft last in the 2nd round, first in the 3rd round, last in the 4th round, etc.

For list drafts every owner in the league will configure a draft list. When it becomes your turn in the draft to select a player the system will automatically award you the highest ranked player on your list still available. If the highest ranked player on your list plays a position that you already have all the starting positions filled for (plus one reserve for RBs and WRs) and not all starting positions are filled the system will select the next highest ranked player on your list still available. If your roster already includes the maximum number of roster spots at a certain position the system will also not select that player.

For live drafts you can also configure a draft list. If you are not able to make it to the live draft the system will use your list to automatically select players for you based on the same guidelines as a list draft. During the live draft your displayed draft list will be in the order of your pre-configured draft list. In a live draft you will have the option to use a flash application that will be available to launch on your team page approximately 1 hour prior to the start of your draft. You will also have the option to use an html version of the draft. During a live draft each owner will have 90 seconds to make their selection. If an owner does not make a selection the system will automatically make the selection for them and they will be set on auto-pick. Auto-pick will take approximately 10 seconds to make a selection from that time forward.

6. Rosters
Each team can carry a maximum of 16 players. A teams starting lineup each week will consist of 8 players. To make up the 8 players a roster will include the following:
- 1 Quarterback
- 1 Kicker
- 1 Defense

plus, one of the following combinations:
- 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE
- 2 RBs, 1 WR, 2 TEs
- 3 RBs, 0 WR, 2 TEs
- 1 RB, 4 WRs, 0 TE
- 1 RB, 3 WRs, 1 TEs
- 1 RB, 2 WRs, 2 TE
- 0 RBs, 5 WRs, 0 TEs
- 0 RBs, 4 WRs, 1 TE
- 0 RBs, 3 WRs, 2 TE

The standard number of players at each position used as the guide to filling a roster in list drafts is 1 QB, 2 RBs, 2 WRs, 1 TE, 1 K, and 1 Defense.

The maximum number of players at each position are 3 QBs, 5 RBs, 6 WRs, 3 TEs, 3 Ks, and 3 Defenses. Every team will be guaranteed to draft 1 defense in the draft. If there are 3 teams in the draft that do not have a defense and there are only 3 defenses left no other team will be able to select a defense besides the ones without defenses.

There will be a handful of players that will have an undroppable designation. These players will not be able to be dropped to waivers unless they incur a serious injury that will put them out for the majority of the remainder season. These designations will be solely at the discretion of Virtual Sports, Inc.

 300+ Passing Yards Allowed -4

If a player/team is playing against a non-division IA team then the positive points are multiplied by 0.75 and rounded to the nearest whole number.

8. Head-to-Head Matchups
Each week you will be paired up against an opponent in a head-to-head matchup. The points your team generates will be compared against your opponents points and the team with the highest points will be given a win and the other team a loss. There will be no ties. Ties in head-to-head matchups will be broken by the following criteria in this exact order:
1.Most starters on teams that win in real life.
2.Team with highest scoring defense.
3.Home Team (designated by the bottom team in the matchup)

Every team that wins their league's playoff will advance to the National Championship round. The National Championship round will be Week 13, Week 14, & Week 15.

10. Weekly Play
Players become locked into the starting lineup one hour prior to kickoff of their game. For example, if you have a quarterback in your starting lineup that plays on Saturday at 3:30pm that quarterback will become locked at your quarterback position at 2:30pm and another quarterback will not be able to be substituted into the lineup anymore. The locked quarterback will then become your starting quarterback for the week.

11. Waivers
Players dropped from other teams and new players added to the player pool will first go onto waivers. They will not clear waivers until the upcoming Wednesday morning at 6:00am EST. Players being added to the player pool for an upcoming Wednesday will be added by Tuesday morning at 6:00am EST. Any team can place a claim on a player that is on waivers but that team must make room on their team by either designating a player to be dropped if they receive the player from waivers or by having an open space available on their roster. If 2 teams place a claim on the same player on waivers the team that receives the player is determined by the teams position on the waiver list. A teams initial position on the waiver list is determined by the order in which they drafted. The first round draft order will be reversed for the initial waiver position so that the team that drafted last in the first round will get waiver position 1. If a team uses their waiver position to claim a player off waivers they will drop to the last spot on the waiver list.

12. Trades
The last day to propose a trade is the day before week 10 starts. Once a trade is proposed, the player the trade is proposed to will have 3 days to accept the trade. If the trade is accepted players in the league will have 2 days to protest the trade. If the trade is approved it will process after 3 days of being accepted by the second player. Players involved in trades will enter their new teams roster on the bench. If they have already played their game for the week they will not be able to be inserted into the starting lineup until the following week. Trades are subject to the approval of fairness by Virtual Sports, Inc. and we will be the final determining factor.

13. Dropping Players
The last day to drop players is the day before week 10 starts. Teams will be unable to drop players after this day. After the deadline you will only be able to pickup or claim players off of waivers into your 16 man roster and you will only be able to do this if you have less than 16 players on your roster.

14. Division Winners and Playoff Seedings
No matter how many divisions a league has the overall regular season league winner will be determined by overall record. Ties will be broken in the following order:
1. Head-to-head record (for multiple team tie every team tied must have played each other the same number of times)
2. Total points for
3. Total real life record of starting players each week
4. Total defensive points for
5. Total quarterback points for
6. Total running back points for
7. Total wide receiver points for
8. Total tight end points for
9. Total kicker points for
10. Coin toss

In 1 division leagues the playoff qualifiers and seedings will follow the above format with overall record and ties being determined as above.

Two division leagues will have the two division winners as the 1 and 2 seeds and the remaining qualifiers will be wildcards coming from either division. Ties for division winners will be broken by the above criteria. The 1 and 2 seed will be determined by overall record and ties will be broken by the above criteria. Wildcards will be selected based on overall record and ties will be broken by the above criteria.

15. National Championship Round
The National Championship round will run similar to how a single head-to-head week works except that you will be competing against every team who qualified for the Championship instead of against a single team. You will have the option to lock in 1 player/team defense at each of the 8 positions on your team in either week 13, week 14, or week 15. If you start a player at a position in week 13 you will receive the points that player accumulates for the week but you will not be able to start a player at that position in weeks 14 or 15. For instance, if you have a quarterback who happens to have games in weeks 13, 14, and 15 and you choose to use that quarterback in week 13 you will only get the points that player accumulates in week 13 and your quarterback position will be locked for the remainder of the National Championship round. You could instead opt to not have a quarterback in week 13 and instead start that quarterback in week 14 and you would receive the points he accumulates in week 14 and again the position would then be locked for the remainder of the Championship round and no points would be accumulated for week 15 at quarterback.

National Championship Formula - The points each team accumulates in the National Championship round will be multiplied by a power rating to even the playing between the differences in conferences.
